Happy 2022 Earth Day! This year we should all take a moment to learn about some key solutions that will help us deliver the greenhouse gas reductions needed by 2030 to meet the Paris Agreement. As the Earth Day organization states on their web site: ” All TOGETHER now! This is the moment to change it all — the business climate, the political climate, and how we take action on climate. Now is the time for the unstoppable courage to preserve and protect our health, our families, our livelihoods… together, we must Invest In Our Planet. Because a green future is a prosperous future. We need to act (boldly), innovate (broadly), and implement (equitably). It’s going to take all of us. All in. Businesses, governments, and citizens — everyone accounted for, and everyone accountable. A partnership for the planet. And while there is still time to solve the climate crisis, time to choose BOTH a prosperous and sustainable future, and time to restore nature and build a healthy planet for our children and their children, time is short. More Good News

The good news keeps coming!  After starting work on the AESP Flexible Load Adaption Training project (through the Department of Energy), an announcement of upcoming work and more good news! The Energy Trust Board of Directors recently voted to authorize and award a Program Management Contract for the Industry and Agriculture Program Management and Delivery to Energy 350. I am very pleased to announce I am part of the multiple COBID-certified (DEI) team members that Energy 350 put together for this PMC bid and now soon, PMC contract.  The staff comments in the Board of Director’s packet said, in part: “Energy 350 brought together a highly integrated team. This was evident in their written proposal and confirmed in the way they presented themselves in their interview with all key partners playing a role in the presentation, and Energy 350’s leadership putting the subject matter experts in the spotlight.  Energy 350 demonstrated a strong understanding of program history, market dynamics and Energy Trust needs in their proposal, including the benefits of integrating the Custom and Standard tracks. The proposal included short- and medium-term program enhancements and improvements, including ideas that leverage efforts from other Energy Trust programs, such as Existing Building’s Contractor Development Pathway. Energy 350 demonstrated a strong, detailed forecasting methodology.” Thank you Energy 350 for putting together a stellar team and including Backen Consulting!
